Terms of use

The rules for using Cadie, in plain words.
The agreement
These terms are between you and [Publisher legal name] ("we"), the publisher of Cadie. By using the app you agree to them. The App Store's or Google Play's own terms also apply to your download and purchases.
Who can use Cadie
Cadie is for personal use by people aged 13 or over. If you are under 18, use it with a parent's or guardian's permission. There is no account: the app serves whoever holds the phone.
What Cadie is
Cadie helps you plan routines and chores across your week. It is a personal organiser. It is not medical, psychological or professional advice, and it is not a treatment for ADHD or any other condition.
AI-written plans
Plans, questions, notes and reviews may be written by an AI model. They can be wrong or unsuitable. Look a plan over before you accept it, and use your own judgement about your health, safety and commitments.
Your content
What you type into Cadie is yours. It stays on your phone, except when you use an AI feature, which sends what that feature needs to our server and AI provider to write the answer (see the privacy policy). You give us permission to process it only for that purpose.
Our content
The app, Cadie the character, the artwork, the names and the text in the app and on this website belong to us or our licensors. You may use them as part of using the app, and you are welcome to share screenshots of your own week. You may not copy, sell or redistribute the app or its artwork, or use Cadie's name or likeness for another product.
Fair use
Don't misuse the service: no attempts to break, overload or reverse-engineer our server, to get around the free AI allowance (for example by creating many anonymous IDs), or to use the AI features for anything unlawful. We may limit or block access that does.
Free and Pro
- The free version includes 1 AI-planned week to try Cadie (one, ever). The built-in planner is always free.
- Cadie Pro's AI features have fair-use limits that reset every Monday: 15 AI plans or changes, 10 rescues and 20 checklist drafts a week. When one is reached, the built-in planner and Cadie's rules keep working.
- Cadie Pro is an auto-renewing subscription (monthly or yearly), bought through the App Store or Google Play. Prices are shown in the store before you buy and may vary by country.
- The yearly plan may start with a 7-day free trial. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial or a period ends, the store charges the next period. Cancel any time in your store account's subscription settings.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.
- Restore purchases in the app (Settings) brings Pro back on a new phone with the same store account.
Changes to the app
We may change, add or remove features. If we remove a Pro feature you are paying for, we will tell you in the app first. Our server may sometimes be unavailable; the built-in planner keeps working without it.
Ending the agreement
You can stop using Cadie at any time by deleting the app; Delete my data in Settings also removes what our server holds. We may suspend or end access for a device that breaks these terms. An active subscription continues under the store's terms until you cancel it there. The sections on your content, our content, liability and governing law continue to apply after the agreement ends.
Liability
Cadie is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not promise that it will be free of errors or interruptions, or that an AI-written plan will suit you. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for missed tasks or appointments, lost data, or any indirect or consequential loss from using the app, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us for Cadie Pro in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be limited, including the App Store's and Google Play's refund policies.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia, and the courts of Australia have jurisdiction over any dispute about them. This does not take away protections you have under the Australian Consumer Law or the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live. If any part of these terms is found invalid, the rest still applies.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when the app or the law changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change matters to you (for example to Cadie Pro), we will tell you in the app before it takes effect; using the app after that means you accept the new terms.
