Turn your chore list into a weekly plan

Write the chores down the way they come to you. Cadie works out how often each one happens and which days they land on, so the housework stops piling up on Sunday.

Bins Tuesday, groceries Saturday?

From a list to a week

What Cadie hears in a chore list

An example. Your days depend on your answers and on what else your week holds.

You type

laundry, change the bed sheets on Sundays, bins out Tuesday night, groceries at the weekend, hoover twice a week, water the plants

Chores around real life

A chore schedule that bends

  • Fixed days stay fixed

Bin day is bin day. Say a chore belongs on Tuesday and that's where it lands, every week.

  • Counts get spread out

“Hoover twice a week” becomes two different days, not two hoovers on Saturday.

  • Daily things stay small

Make the bed, wipe the counters, a ten-minute tidy: short daily jobs sit at the time of day you pick.

  • A lighter day when you need one

Ask for a lighter Wednesday and the chores move to days that have room, without dropping off the week.

Checklists inside chores

The groceries chore carries the shopping list

Some chores are really a list: the big shop, packing, a deep clean of the bathroom. Keep the list inside the chore and tick lines off as you go.

  • With Pro, Cadie drafts the list for you
  • The chore shows how far along you are, like 2 of 8
Today with a Buy groceries chore opened into its checklist: fruit and vegetables and milk ticked, bread and eggs and rice and pasta still to get.

Keeping it going

Small rewards for boring jobs

Chores never finish, which is why they are hard to keep up. Cadie makes each one a small win: tap the sticker to stamp it, and a fully stamped day earns a sticker for your book. Stickers unlock hats and room decorations for her.

Questions

Chore planning questions

How do I make a chore schedule that sticks?

Start with the chores you actually do, not an ideal list. Give each one a realistic rhythm, put the jobs with a fixed day (like bins) in first, then spread the rest so no day carries more than it can. Cadie builds that schedule from your list and keeps it going week after week.

Can Cadie share chores between people in my home?

Not yet. Cadie plans one person's week on one phone. Housemates or partners can each plan their own share in their own copy of the app.

Can I plan chores that happen every other week or once a month?

Cadie plans weekly rhythms, from once a week up to every day. For jobs that come round less often, like cleaning the oven, add a to-do with a date and a reminder and it will nudge you when it's due.

What happens if I skip a chore?

Nothing dramatic. Cadie never scolds, and one missed day in any seven is frozen so your streak holds. If a day runs away from you, Rescue my day moves what's left to calmer days that week.

Will it remind me?

If you turn reminders on, yes: a gentle notification when it's time, with a Done button right in it. They're off until you choose them.

Hand Cadie the chore list.

She'll find a day for each one, and a rhythm you can keep.
